PicFlick ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

By using PicFlick, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Personal Information

• Account Information: Email address, display name, profile photo, phone number
• Contacts: Only if you choose to sync contacts for friend discovery

2.2 User Content

• Photos and Media: Photos you upload, share, or take through the App
• Captions, Comments, and Reactions: Text content and reactions you add

2.3 Social Data

• Friend connections, followers, blocked users list
• Pending friend requests and chat sessions

2.4 Device Information

• Device ID for push notifications
• App usage statistics and analytics
• Crash logs and error reports

2.5 Mythic Draw Data

• Your upload streak count and last upload date
• Consecutive months entered in the Mythic Monthly Draw
• Mythic tier badge status (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Diamond)

This data is used solely for the free monthly loyalty draw and streak tracking. No purchase is required.

2.6 What We Do NOT Collect

• Your precise location
• Your contacts without explicit permission
• Payment information (handled by Google Play)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain PicFlick services
• To display your photos to your friends according to your privacy settings
• To send push notifications for likes, comments, new followers, and draw results
• To track your last upload date to maintain your streak and offer free streak recovery if you miss a day
• To suggest friends based on your contacts (if you opt-in)
• To improve our app and user experience
• To prevent fraud and abuse

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information in the following circumstances:

• With Other Users: Photos and content you share are visible to your friends based on your privacy settings.
• Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for hosting, storage, and authentication.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Privacy Settings

PicFlick is built with privacy-by-default principles:

• You control who can see your photos (friends only or public)
• You can block users at any time
• You can delete your photos and account
• Friends must accept your friend request before seeing your content
• Muting a group or chat only affects notifications — it does not delete messages

6. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform)
• We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage
• Access to your data is restricted and logged

If your account is over storage limit after a downgrade, a 7-day grace period applies. During this period you receive daily warnings. If storage remains over limit after grace, oldest photos may be deleted automatically until usage matches your active tier.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all your data stored in PicFlick
• Download your photos and data
• Delete your account and all associated data permanently
• Modify your privacy settings at any time
• Block other users from seeing your content
• Opt-out of friend discovery

To exercise these rights, go to Settings > Privacy in the app.

8. Permissions We Use

• Camera: To take photos within the App
• Storage: To save and upload photos
• Contacts: To help you find friends (optional)
• Notifications: To send you activity alerts

9. Children's Privacy

PicFlick is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of PicFlick after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly in the app via Settings > Delete Account.

12. Child Safety Standards (CSAE)

PicFlick has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content or behavior.

• Users can report abusive content and users in-app.
• Users can block other users to stop unwanted contact.
• We remove violating content/accounts and take appropriate enforcement actions.
• Where required, we cooperate with applicable legal authorities.
